About Rowland

As the principal of Rowland Briese Music, Rowland like many musicians began learning music at a young age. Studying Saxophone and Piano privately over many years, he progressed through the Australian Music Examinations Board syllabus on both instruments.  Involvement over the years in musical productions, community based orchestra’s including the USQ Big Band provided many opportunities including playing alongside artists such as Rhonda Burchmore, Ian Stenlake and Rachel Beck. Rowland graduated with a Bachelor in Creative Arts Majoring in Music at the University of Southern Queensland, studying under Assoc. Prof Rhoderick McNeill, Dr Phillip Gearing and Martin Crook.

Rowland has been tutoring privately since 2010 in both a private studio environment, and as a private tutor at local high schools in both one on one lessons and group lessons. He is well experienced at teaching students from the youngest ages through to adults. Rowland is keen to help all students learn and appreciate a love of music or rekindle their love of music, developing musical skills that will last a lifetime.
